Hello, sorry for all who've been asking when's the chalet, where's the chalet, what time and where to meet, what'll be the programmes and what to bring stuff and who'll be staying overnight etcetc.

I'm here firstly to state the details of the chalet and everything, but I've yet contacted Shaotao about the time his mom is gonna check in the chalet thingthing cauz there's no answer. But, I'll give you all an answer asap I promise, :D

Answering the 1st question (Daniel.L):

The chalet's on 4th-6th December.

Answering the 2nd question (Daniel.L&Samuel):

The chalet's at Costa Sands Downtown East.

Answering the 3rd question (Daniel.L&Samuel&hwaiyi):
If you're going for the whole chalet, which means from 4th-6th, meet at Pasir ris mrt station control station @ 3pm-3.30pm. After that take bus ???( im not sure abt the bus no. but thr's a few buses u can take.) to the chalet entrance to meet shaotao @ 4pm. Wait a while if u didn't see shaotao. If u are lost, call shaotao.

If you're going only at the second day which is on the Bbq day, meet at Cck mrt station control station @ 8.15am-8.30am (if you're late, it's fine with me, I can wait, so I extended the meeting time by 15 min. :P)

Answering the 4th question (ask the organisers):

Again, I don't know what the programmes will be, cauz firstly I'm not going on that day, and secondly I think Colleen&Thaqif(&Shaotao?)'re the organisers of the chalet, ask them okay. :D

The programmes on the second day would be ESCAPE first, then bowling then arcade, anyone who wants to go other places can suggest in the tagb, or else this will be the temporary-finalised venues thanks thanks. :D Then after all these we'll (without me, I'm going back already, :x) go back to the chalet & have the Bbq, :D

For those who wants to go Escape but at the the chalet, feel free to meet us @ Escape entrance at 10am, sorry if we're late. :D

I believe by 10pm (latest) the Bbq will end & you'll return home safe&sound, for those who don't intend to stay overnight. :D

Answering the 5th question (hwaiyi):

Oright, the packlist. Here it is. :D

3-4 sets of tops&bottoms (maybe for swimming)
3-4 undergarments (haha!) [maybe for swimming]
1 Swimwear, if you all wanna go swimming
2 Track pants, if you're afraid of the cold at night.
1-2 pairs of track shoes/slippers/sandals
socks (to warm your feet when sleeping, my advise! :D)
1 mug
3 towels (for bathing)
soap&shampoo (sufficient amount)
torch light (for exploration at night, whatever :D)
personal stuff (anything, comics, games, kfc gameset, anything!)
water bottle (if you suffer from dehydration easily)
sun block (if you're going tanning/swimming)
2-3 plastic bags (for putting of wet clothing)
toohthbrush & toothpaste
handphone

THIS POST IS FOR THE 2A'07 STUDENTS... duh! hehe

Please take a look at the picture above. How about this as the back of the 2007 2A class-tee??? pls click for a larger view.

MY IDEA(this is just my suggestion not the finalised design!!)The base colour of the collared shirt will be orange and the illustration will be the back of the shirt. It stretches from the shoulders to somewhere near the waists to the bottoms. The names in the picture are just for illustration only. Each individual student's name will appear on each of their shirt and we will get it done within the first term of school after we have confirmed who is/are our mentor/s. As for the front of the shirt, I was thinking we place our new class slogan on the left side of the shirt written vertically down. I will put up a picture soon. i was thinking of us wearing (boys:black)(girls:white) ties. those very short ties ppl use for street dance performance ^.^ (more up to date and funky?!?) of course we have to wait for all the students comments and feedback...so if euu have 1 VOICE OUT!!! haha

I'm Yongkian again!
So are all of you enjoying this postexam period?
I doubt so.
It must be a bawring and Unfun-filled holiday right?
I've the same sentiments too.
Reaching Secondary school, it had made me realised that attending school is MUST BETTER than rotting at home, when what we can do only is stoning infront of the TEEVEEE and computer-ing.

It's so freaking bawring right?!
I believe you guys must be waiting for Thursday to come.
No doubts, you guys must be nervous for all your results.
No matter what the results are, don't feel sad about it okay.
Mr Koh always said, we must always do self-reflection on ourselves, that's the way we can improve.

If we stop at a place where we encountered a setback, there's DEFINITELY no chance of standing up.

i finally updated my blog this morning. Click link to 'mr. koh' on the right if you wish to view. I have wanted to update my blog all these while but I kept pushing it off till this morning, i told myself: 'If I can't, then I MUST.' and I force myself to sit down and write something.

Thanks for 1a-ians in sharing your happy and sad moments all these months. I always do a REFRAME for sad and unhappy moments and I get over them very fast, unless you purposely want to stay sad and unhappy. It is something very useful and I have shared it with you all before and I will share more in the future.

End-of-year Exam is around the corner and you MUST work extra hard from today to achieve as high grades as possible, unless you don't want them. 'Choices have Consequences. I always have a choice. I choose to Do my Very Best.' (Somebody may add this in the quotes)

Remember that you need studying strategies too (from the ultimate success formulae), and what are the strategies? You know where to find them, don't you?

Xing Guang Bao Bei-- Nothing less than the best of best!

Hi ppl,

Well.. in the end, we did not make it through, and it's a fact. So let's take it in our stride!

As Mr Koh says, " we can't control the outcome, but we can control the response to the outcome! ". I think that is a really nice statement!

Cheer up everyone, we have done ourselves and the school proud! Throughout the competition, we have displayed nothing less than our strongest fighting spirit! In the prelims round, though one of you was sick, the rest worked hard and gave your very best to bring the group through to the next round! As mentioned in my previous posts, i am super impressed by the grit and determination shown by the 1A-lians. Even though Xing Guang Bao Bei was 3rd by the judges standard, you did not give up! Knowing that the fight is far from over, each of you had tried so hard to fight for the other 50% of the unknown result.

On my msn, i see all of you using your nicks as advertisements to try and get your frens to support you, my president ah NEO smsed me to vote more, ah LEE was in low spirits cos she was worried that you all might not make it through, and even Yu Ting wanted to sign a contract with me immediately to become my fan club recreation leader in order to exchange for more votes! So you can see, if you all were not serious abt winning, why make so much effort to garner support from everyone? If you had not taken pride in your performance, you would have just sat back and relax, and wait to be kicked out naturally. But because all of you showed such a strong desire to get through to the finals, i was really touched, and called more than my initial budget for yesterday night. It doesn't matter that all the calls have vanished into thin air now, because i'm glad, that i had played a part, and held a stake in a team called XING GUANG BAO BEI!

Dunno if i will have the chance to be back in KSS as a teacher again, but in case i don't, here's to all 1A-lians:

You are the BEST and nothing less than the best in my heart. Thanks for putting up a good fight.

Dreams are certainly illusive, but you have believed that they can be caught. And in the quest, i see everyone putting in their best effort. For all the perseverance shown thus far, i would say, 1A has proven itself to be a cut above the rest!

Xin Guang Bao Bei--- You know You rock!

Hi 1A!

It's Ah Yeo here again. I see that ah YEOH is trying to challenge me by putting up a very long post too. i shall not take that lying down, and will seek to maintain my record with this post! On top of that, i shall be posting in GOOD and PROPER english!

The filming of "IT'S SHOWTIME" is finally over! Hooray! Weeks of hardwork and endless sacrifices have ended. But.... i would like to stress that this enjoyment is temporary as at now. The battle is NOT over yet. the judges' results only accounts for 50% of the total score, and the other 50% is still an unknown. There are 2 sides to everything. You can see the studio results as a battle half lost, but i would rather see it as a battle that has yet to be lost! All is not over yet. In the preliminary rounds, Xing Guang Bao Bei was ranked 3rd too, but with the ever-so-strong Kranji family backing us up, we "rose from the dead". This time, we will try to create that miracle again!

To start with, i think there were indeed some problems with the competition. If you looked carefully, you would see that S1 actually has no visible links to the theme of NUMBERS. Yet, the judges did not take that into consideration, and awarded them high marks nevertheless! S4 tried to incorporate some numbers by flipping the numbers when the rocket was flying, but that is also quite redundant. Whether it appears or not, it really does not affect the whole sketch. In short, you were required to compete on a theme, yet the judges did not include that in their judging criteria, so that was quite unprofessional!
Next, the judges did not know that our team encountered so much problems in the making of the props. In actual fact, our dear Xing Guang Bao Bei took only less than one week to come up with the wonderful show that we saw! I think taking into consideration the extremely short span of time we had, what we presented was indeed excellent! I am sure that if we had more than 1 month to prepare for it like S3, the results will definitely be beyond our wildest dreams!

However, the judges did really gave us some useful learning points. They were right to point out that we have neglected the culture component, and hence affected the whole "feel" of the presentation. This is something that i hope everyone bears in mind, and if you do get a chance to do a sketch or whatever in future, remember to pay attention to even the slightest details!

I do not know how many of you have noticed that, but we were the only team who was not criticised on the "timing". For example, S1 was commented on their pimples disappearing even before the brush reached them. So i guess, in a sense, that shows how united XING GUANG BAO BEI had worked as a team! In fact, i wondered if you all remembered that when i went down to see the rehearsal in school on the night before, i had said that the change in speed was a big flaw. I am therefore really impressed to see all of you rectified the problem by recording time! The champion for the night, S3, had impressed the judges with their many transformations, but they had some fumbles too! The genie was unable to remove the sarong from the poor man in time, and he was left with it dangling till the end of the show! Yet, our team had everything running like clockwork, with no fumbles or whatsoever!

I know some of you cried after the recording, but i hope that is not tears of sadness. Why should you feel sad when Xing Guang Bao Bei is a champion, not only in my heart, but also in the heart of every Kranjian and your family members. You have impressed us with your grit and determination, and you have done us proud. When you heard the strong Kranjian support even though you were deep inside the backstage, you know that in our hearts, each of you is already a winner!
Thank you for putting up a nice fight my dear precious darlings! For many years down the road, you will definitely be remembered for your "never- say- die" attitude, and each and everyone of the KSS 1A' 06 class is greatly appreciated for putting up the wonderful performance that all of us had enjoyed.

At the end of it all, give yourself a pat on the back for all the perseverance shown throughout, and most importantly, be thankful that you have earned not only one, but at least 2 experiences that only a privileged few can dream of, and these stories can be told to your children and grand children when you are old!

Hey my dear fan club members!

I know this few weeks have been taking a toll on all of you due the SHOWTIME thingy.

Lack of rest, no time to go shopping and hang out, no time to do homework,LOTS of quarrels and unhappiness etc. .... and morale has been very low!!!!

Disagreements are bound to happen in a team, in fact, if everything is calm and peaceful, you are not a good team! The essence of teamwork is not in the finished product, but rather, the process of making the product. hence, as we walk on this arduous road together, learn to accomodate, appreciate, and understand one another. This is a learning process, and everyone is in it together. No one said it's going to be easy, for the quest to be the best is forever an uphill task. But you can make the task less tedious, by working hand in hand with each other, lending a helping hand to each other when possible.

Do Not think that you are the only one suffering, for as u look around, u'll see that everyone is undergoing the same thing. We are now on a journey to the West, everyone is either Monkey, Piggy, Sandy or Tripitaka. The journey would never have been possible without the combined efforts of the 4 of them.
Contribute as much as u can, and u will find the fruits of labour extremely sweet compared to if u had just been a sleeping partner.

We are in the midst of a match now, and the losers will only be decided at the final whistle. However, if you decide to give up now, you are definitely a loser. Do you want to be known as the BEST class or the LOSER class?
We are halfway there now, and u are the sole survivors from KSS in this competition, so give your best shot! It may be the last time KSS 1A'06 is appearing on national TV. So impress Singapore with your grit and determination ok?
Don't let the efforts of your fellow classmates, the time that your mentors spent with you, and the support from your friends and family go to waste!

This is the longest post in ur blog i'm sure. haha! Before i end off, just like to share this quote with all my fan club members.

The only flaws that are obvious are that the lines are not straight
[right at the beginning, when doing then 'hey-hey']
& that when the circle is formed, 'girls-in-boys-out' part not very 'united', not together, not a a group. I think we need to practise really hard for that part, 'cause the circle when boys/girls exit/enter MUST be a circle, and when girls and boys go back to the circle it must be a circle too.

So yah you guys know what to do ar.
& I think often the circle isn't a circle.
It has angles, which isn't supposed to be 'cause it's a circle,
and that a circle has got no angles.
Follow the red marking behind,
as what Ms.Wee said.
Sometimes looking behind and at other people will help!

HELLO!
I like the way when 1a-ians are helping to blog here.
This symbolises the strong bond we've had.
( :

Well, I think we should not show our attitude at Mr.Goh.
Although he's mean and unfriendly at times, [he is okay now]
all teachers have their own difficulties and problems right.
NO TEACHERS ARE PERFECT.
You can't expect a teacher to walk in every lesson,
and it's very fun and exciting right.

Mr.Koh says: there must be times when lessons are boring. It's only the state of mood and interest to control the boredom. [last line added by me]

All these weeks, we have been treating Mr.Goh really badly.
Although he was bad last term,
like using those hurting words at me and some others,
and even abusing Nadia this term.
But think again,
are we at faults too?

It takes two hands to clap.
We can't just blame one party,
and the other, which are us, to enjoy scolding him.
Teachers have their own dignity,
we have our own too.

1A is a class which is VERY united, regardless of CCA and results, it's all better than the other classes [thats a fact], thats why 1A was awarded BEST CLASS AWARD. this award isnt just an award when we can dump or break it, it's an award to remind us that we will ALWAYS be the BEST CLASS FOREVER.

So we must maintain our conduct in class, academic results and good leadership qualities. We must also respect all our teachers from now on.

Mr.Goh: No one owes us 1A-ians a living. It's the way we want to live [umm, added by me AGAIN!], whether you want it to be positive or negative, it's up to us.

We shall NEVER let a bad incident tarnish the GOOD reputation 1A had built so far.

everyone promise? I hope you've learnt somethg after reading this.

& please, don't give Mr.Goh attitude anymore. I'm sure he doesn't like it too. Imagine when people give you attitude, would you like it? Yah, try putting yourself in other people's shoes, and spare a thought for others.

Some may think that what I'm writing here is a piece of junk, okay, it's up to you if you want to think that way. But I type this not just for fun, or for the sake of typing, neither is it that I enjoy blogging, so I blog. i called him 2 times despite having confirmed the first time in the call .

HELLO !
I'm so honoured to be the first 1A-ian to post !
anyway this is our very first and only class blogs .
1A-IAN , please come here and get the password from either me or yongkian .
we had not done the blogskin so any suggestions ? we'll definitely update !
this blog is speciallly for 1A !
okay .
let me talk on the class tees .
the class tees are done , and it cost $15.50 .
please tell us the size on monday , cos we calling them to inform them the size .
pupils of 1A gave $16 each . so the remaining 50 cents will directly go to the class funds (:
so its around $20 added to the class fund !
we are planning to give a class tee to miss lim for her birthday .
yup . we are getting the class tees on 18thJuly .
just before the folkdance night .
we have 6 colours .
mainly white , hot pink , blue , black , red , yellow and blue .
yup
so are you guys ready for the folkdance night ?
folkdance night's gonna be fun i guess . (:
lastly , remember to tell us the sizes , and those who forgot to bring their money on friday . PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING ON MONDAY .
